The Structural and Functional Model
The structure of the socionic model of the informational metabolism type can be derived using the combinatory-dichotomic method. In course of this process, new traits and characteristics of the model may be found, which find their analogs in T.Parsons' structural functionalism, C.G.Jung's archetypes concept and other sociological and psychological concepts.

Once Again on the Socionic Diagnostics
The article considers basic principles of designing dynamic (self-teaching) tests as applied to socionics and main shortcomings of the previous static (author-dependent) tests. It is substantiated that testing is based on the same principles as other methods of psychological diagnostics, and the widespread belief that the methods dependent on the expert's personality (interview, observation etc.) should be more accurate is incorrect from the both methodological and practical viewpoints.

On the Place of Typology in Psychology
Recognizing wide prevalence of the socionic typology and its successful practical application, the author carries out the comparative analysis between essential provisions of C.G.Jung's theory of psychological types and the modern approach of the socionic methods. A hypothesis is proposed on impossibility of identification of a "pure" informational metabolism type. Taking into account two ways of development (self-realization and adaptation), the strong and the weak functions of the person, the author examines a way of successful personal self-actualization.
